As part of expanding and building up your home and nearby town, coins will be required. A great way to earn these is through running a shop! Explore islands and caves gathering everything from trash to flowers that you can sell directly to local villagers for coins. Eventually once seeds have been acquired you may take part in farming, as well as crafting, fishing mining and questing activities on them islands!
As soon as you've acquired some spare coin, speak to Frank to commission new buildings for your town, with each providing special upgrades, shops, quests and areas that await discovery! There will certainly be enough to keep you busy in terms of both upgrades, shops and quests - you won't run out of options to explore!
Each area you explore offers new treasures to discover, collect, sell or wear. So take every chance you get to look around - you never know what may await!
Once the mining camp is established, hire miners to clear away debris and open new mining caves. Don't worry; here there won't be any spirits to battle; instead there will be plenty of geodes and treasures waiting to be unearthed!
Do you desire even greater exploration? Take a boat ride over to Halloween Island during Fall for even greater spoils. Dive into its depths, fight monsters across 10 levels, take on its boss and discover even more secrets! Feeling overwhelmed? Try shooting mushrooms from small to large in order to activate hardcore mode for even greater challenge!

Dig up seeds of flowers and vegetables found in nature or visit Sammy the Seed Seller to purchase new seeds. Use your hoe to till the soil before watering daily until your crops are ready to harvest. When harvest time arrives, harvest and either cook your harvest up yourself or wrap into bouquets to sell at your shop!
Keep an eye out for those refreshing rainy days or craft some sprinklers so you can spend your time doing other important work without worry of crops withering away.
Since water can be found everywhere on an island, fishing has long been an activity enjoyed by its villagers. From dawn until dusk there's plenty of different fish available to catch. Or alternatively set out some traps for shellfishing to do all of your work for you!
No farm would be complete without animals! Talk to Frank about building your first Chicken Coop and Barn in Garden Paws. In Garden Paws you can raise and tend to many types of animals including chicks, ducks, calves, alpacas, foxes ferrets goats sheep horses rabbits etc. Many larger mature animals can even serve as mounts if needed to help speed you along faster on your adventures!
Get to know animals better by giving them what they like - we hear that rabbits particularly love carrots! And keep an eye out for any mysterious beasts or legendary creatures you encounter along your travels.
