[The Triangle System]
In keeping with tradition, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 fights use a triangle system: strikes beat throws, throws beat holds and holds beat strikes. Landing an attack that outwits an opponent's attack -- such as striking when an opponent attempts to throw -- results in a powerful Hi Counter Attack and can do significant damage.
[New Combat Mechanics - Break System]
In our new title, DEAD OR ALIVE 3, we introduce an entirely new Special Move Gauge (Break Gauge), providing another strategic element into each fight. Easily accessible for newcomers to fighting games alike, activation is achieved simply by pressing [RB].
[Break Blow] An aggressive special move designed to knock your opponents back. Part of it also deflects any attacks coming your way - an offensive and defensive move all in one!
