SuperPower 2 is an engaging real-time geopolitical simulation game which empowers players to control entire countries on an international scale. They do so across three major areas - political, economic and military. Control of countries allows you to build up their influence within their broader world while competing with sophisticated A.I. Players make use of economic sanctions, political alliances and military actions against sophisticated A.I. To fight their battles while competing against each other. Once there, gamers use various military actions (from sanctions or attacks on allies to tactical decisions during specific battles).

193 real countries can all be played and are equipped with real data pulled from sources like the CIA World Factbook, United Nations databases and US Military records. A sophisticated Artificial Intelligence has also been implemented to realistically simulate each nation.
Realistic combat situations involve multiple forces joining and leaving battles as power shifts between warring parties.

Capital ships are required for invasions from the sea; they should be within 750km of your target region when planning to invade from sea, while enemy fleets should remain more than 1500 km from your invasion fleet when conducting such attempts.
AI will take diplomatic relations into consideration before making decisions to annex regions under its military control now. Wirtschafts: GTM limited to 30% and sectortax at 70%.
Diplomacy: Embargo treaties result in decreased relations.
Combat Radius has been expanded in order to simplify frontline construction. Allies may make more logical decisions during war time; otherwise they won't lend much assistance.
Peaceful Annexation: Your chances for peaceful annexation depend heavily upon population support in both nations, along with at least one religion or language shared between the parties involved.
